LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean on DS is exactly what you'd hope for—goofy LEGO versions of Jack Sparrow and the crew, mixed with that classic brick-smashing, puzzle-solving action. You start off in Port Royal, smashing barrels for studs (because of course you do) and immediately get into sword fights with clumsy LEGO guards. The humor’s there too—watch out for Jack’s drunken stumble-walk, which is somehow even funnier in block form.

It’s got that same co-op vibe as other LEGO games, so if you’ve got a buddy, you can team up to solve puzzles or just mess around. The ship battles are a nice touch, though they’re simpler on DS compared to consoles. Still, sailing between islands and unlocking characters never gets old, especially when you realize how many dumb jokes they crammed in. If you’ve ever wanted to see Davy Jones’ crew as angry little LEGO monsters, this is your chance.
