LEGO Battles on the DS is basically a stripped-down RTS with that classic LEGO charm. You start off picking between pirates, knights, or spacemen (I went pirates first—no regrets), then jump into building little brick bases and sending out armies of minifigs to wreck the other guys. The controls take a second to get used to since it's all stylus-based, but after a few skirmishes, tapping units and dragging attack lines feels pretty smooth.
What's cool is how they mix in LEGO quirks—your workers actually "build" structures brick by brick, and defeated enemies just explode into pieces. The campaign's got some decent variety, throwing in naval battles and hero units alongside the usual base-building. It's not super deep, but for a handheld RTS with that goofy LEGO humor, it works. Just don't expect StarCraft levels of strategy.
Honestly, half the fun is watching tiny LEGO dudes bonk each other with wrenches.
