Kirby: Squeak Squad game

Kirby: Squeak Squad is one of those DS games that just feels good to play—bright, bouncy, and packed with that classic Kirby charm. You start off with the usual inhale-and-copy routine, but this time there’s a twist: Kirby’s got a belly pouch where he can store power-ups and items. First time I played, I hoarded like five different abilities before realizing I could mix them for wild combos (fire sword Kirby? Yes, please).

The Squeak Squad—a gang of thieving mice—steals your cake (rude), and the chase takes you through candy-colored worlds with just the right amount of hidden nooks. Some powers feel downright broken (hello, Metal), but that’s half the fun. It’s not the hardest Kirby game, but the touchscreen gimmicks—like blowing into the mic to inflate balloons—keep it feeling fresh for a handheld title.

Perfect for quick sessions or when you just want to unwind with something cheerful. The music’s catchy, too—good luck getting that forest theme out of your head.
