How To Train Your Dragon game

Okay, so How to Train Your Dragon on DS is way more fun than I expected. You start off as Hiccup (obviously) and get to tame your first dragon pretty quick—it’s not just button mashing, either. There’s this little rhythm mini-game where you have to time your moves right to earn their trust, and messing up actually makes them snap at you. Feels surprisingly real for a DS game.

The battles are the best part, though. You don’t just spam attacks—you’ve gotta dodge, pick the right moves, and actually think about how your dragon fights. Night Furies? OP. Gronckles? Slow but tanky. And yeah, you can explore Berk and the surrounding islands, but honestly, I spent most of my time just seeing how many different dragons I could recruit. The graphics are pretty decent for the DS, too—those fire effects don’t look half bad.

If you’re into the movies or just want a dragon game that doesn’t feel like a cheap cash grab, this one’s solid. Just don’t expect it to be super long—it’s more of a weekend binge than an epic grind.
