Remember that weird N64 mic that came with Hey You, Pikachu!? Yeah, this was the game that made you shout at your TV like a lunatic while Pikachu either ignored you completely or got weirdly excited about the wrong things. You'd tell it to "pick up the apple" and it'd just stare at a rock instead—classic early voice recognition.
Mostly you just wander around doing little tasks together, like fishing or collecting berries, while Pikachu chirps back at you in that high-pitched voice. It’s janky as hell, but there’s something weirdly charming about how earnestly it tries to understand you. Just don’t expect deep gameplay—it’s more like hanging out with a very confused electric mouse.
Honestly, half the fun was seeing how badly the mic would misinterpret you. I still remember my cousin yelling "PIKACHU, JUMP!" and it somehow heard "eat a shoe."
