Gremlins 2 on NES is one of those weird little action games that feels nothing like the movie—but in a good way. You play as Gizmo, sneaking through labs and offices, trying to wipe out those little troublemakers before they wreck everything. It’s top-down, so you’re always scanning for hazards: spiders dropping from the ceiling, electrified wires, and those annoying floor traps that pop up out of nowhere.
Between levels, you can grab random power-ups like a bow and arrow or matches (because sure, Gizmo with a bow makes total sense). Keep an eye out for Mr. Wing’s shop—it just appears like a magic door, and half the time I didn’t even notice until I walked past it. Boss fights are chaotic but satisfying, especially when you finally figure out their patterns. It’s janky in that classic NES way, but honestly, that’s part of the charm.
