Greg Norman's Golf Power on NES is one of those early golf games that actually lets you design your own courses—which, honestly, is way more fun than it sounds. You start by sketching out fairways, placing bunkers, and tweaking greens until you’ve got a full 18-hole nightmare (or masterpiece, depending on your skills).
If you’re not into course design, there are pre-made ones, but they’re pretty basic. The real charm is in the driving range and putting practice—it’s weirdly satisfying to just whack balls without consequences. Once you hit the actual course, you’ve got a few game modes and difficulty settings, but don’t expect anything too deep. It’s old-school golf, so the physics are janky, and the greens roll like concrete sometimes.
Still, for an NES golf game, it’s got personality. Just don’t expect to actually feel like the Shark unless you’ve got serious patience.
