Funny Field Game

Okay, so Funny Field on the Game Boy is one of those weird little games that shouldn’t be as fun as it is. You’ve got this tiny, blocky character running around a maze-like field, dodging these goofy enemies that look like they were drawn in five minutes—but in a charming way. The controls are simple (d-pad and two buttons, classic GB style), but the levels get surprisingly tricky. One minute you’re breezing through, the next you’re getting cornered by a pack of bouncing… blobs? Not sure what they are, honestly.
What I like is how it doesn’t take itself seriously. The music’s got this bouncy, slightly off-key chiptune vibe, and the "strategy" part is really just figuring out whether to lure enemies into pits or outrun them. It’s the kind of game you pick up for five minutes and suddenly realize you’ve been playing for an hour. If you’ve got a soft spot for janky-but-lovable retro stuff, this one’s a solid time-waster.
