Doraemon 3 - Nobi Dai No Machi SOS! game

Doraemon 3 on the N64 is one of those weird little gems that never left Japan but totally should have. You play as Nobita (or Doraemon, depending on the stage), running around their town fixing problems—sometimes with gadgets, sometimes just by talking to people. The graphics are super charming, like a playable 90s anime episode, and the puzzles are just tricky enough to make you think without getting frustrating.

At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect—some of the objectives are oddly specific, like helping a kid find his lost toy or convincing a shopkeeper to lower prices. But there’s something weirdly satisfying about how low-stakes and cozy it all feels. If you’ve ever wanted to just hang out in Doraemon’s world for a while, this is probably the closest you’ll get.

It’s not perfect—the controls are a little stiff by modern standards—but the vibe is so earnest that it’s hard not to smile while playing. Definitely a niche pick, but if you’re into retro adventure games with personality, it’s worth digging up.
