Crash of the Titans on DS is basically Crash Bandicoot on steroids. Instead of just spinning and jumping like the old days, you're wrestling mutant creatures mid-combo, then hijacking their bodies to smash through enemies. It's weirdly satisfying to grab some hulking beast, ride it like a rodeo, then toss it into a crowd of baddies.
The controls take a minute to click—at first I kept accidentally jumping when I meant to attack—but once you get the rhythm of chaining moves together, it feels surprisingly good for a DS action game. The art style's got this exaggerated, cartoony vibe that works way better on the small screen than you'd expect.
Fair warning: the platforming bits between fights can feel a little stiff compared to the combat. But when you're in the zone, flipping between Crash's moves and your stolen monster abilities, it's dumb fun in the best way. Definitely one of the more creative takes on the Bandicoot.
