Chrono Trigger on DS is basically the same legendary RPG from the SNES days, but now you can take it anywhere—which is dangerous, because you’ll lose hours without realizing it. The time-travel stuff isn’t just a gimmick; hopping between prehistoric jungles and futuristic cities actually changes how quests play out. And yeah, the combat’s turn-based, but it’s snappy—no endless menus, just quick positioning and combo attacks with your party.
What’s wild is how your choices actually matter. Mess up early on, and you might lock yourself into one of the weirdest endings (there’s like a dozen). The DS version throws in some extra dungeons, but honestly, the original story and pixel art still hold up. If you’ve never played it, this is the best way to experience one of the all-time greats.
