Man, Aladdin on SNES still holds up. Right from the start, you're jumping across those sun-baked Agrabah rooftops, dodging guards who clearly didn’t get the memo that you’re the hero here. The animation’s surprisingly smooth for a 16-bit game—like, Aladdin actually ducks when you crouch, which felt next-level back then.
You’ve got apples to chuck at enemies (weird choice, but okay), and those rope swings? Way more satisfying than they should be. The music’s pure Disney magic—catchy enough that you’ll hum it after turning the game off. And yeah, it’s tougher than you remember, especially that lava level. Still, there’s something about the way the lanterns glow in the Cave of Wonders that makes dying for the tenth time feel worth it.
If you’ve got nostalgia for this era, or just want to see why people still argue over which version (SNES or Genesis) did it better, this one’s a time capsule worth dusting off.
