Man, WWF Superstars 2 on Game Boy takes me back. You’ve got all the legends here—Hulk Hogan flexing, Macho Man doing his wild elbow drops—and somehow they squeezed that chaotic wrestling energy into a tiny cartridge. The controls are simple (d-pad and two buttons, that’s it), but there’s something satisfying about timing a grapple just right to slam someone into the mat.
Matches are quick and messy in the best way. You’ll whiff a punch, get tossed out of the ring, then suddenly reverse a suplex for the win. The roster’s small but packed with personality—I always went for Ultimate Warrior because he’d just flail around like a maniac. No fancy career mode or story here, just straight-up arcade wrestling chaos. Perfect for a quick match between classes or a nostalgia hit.
It’s janky by today’s standards, but that’s part of the charm. You can practically hear the crowd roaring through those tinny Game Boy speakers.
