Man, Turok 2 on N64 was something else. You start off in this weird, lush jungle full of dinosaurs—some shoot lasers, because of course they do—and within minutes you’re blasting raptors with a shotgun that somehow feels meatier than most modern games. The Cerebral Bore? Absolute madness. It latches onto enemies’ heads and, well… let’s just say it lives up to the name.
The levels are huge for an N64 game, with hidden paths and keys tucked away in places you’d never think to check. I got lost in the Port of Adia for way too long my first time. And the atmosphere? Those eerie alien temples and swampy ruins still stick with me. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you—some of those late-game enemies are brutal.
If you’re into retro shooters with a side of janky charm, this one’s still a blast.
