About Tetris
I first played Tetris on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989, a version published by Nintendo. It was one of those games that felt essential to the console, a simple concept that fit perfectly with the hardware of the time.
You control a sequence of different shaped blocks that fall from the top of the screen. Your goal is to rotate and move these pieces so they form solid horizontal lines without gaps. When a line is complete, it vanishes, and you earn points; the game ends if the blocks stack up to the top. The key mechanics are rotating the tetrominoes to fit them together and clearing multiple lines at once for bigger rewards. The pace starts slow but relentlessly speeds up, demanding faster decisions. It creates a feeling of focused urgency that is hard to pull away from.
