Super Speed Race 64 is one of those N64 racers that just feels fast—like, borderline out-of-control fast. You pick from a bunch of wild-looking cars (some handle better than others, but good luck figuring that out before your first spinout), then blast through tracks that range from city streets to some seriously questionable "off-road" terrain. The controls take a minute to click, but once they do, nailing a perfect drift around a hairpin turn is stupidly satisfying.
What I really dig is how each car actually feels different—not just in speed, but weight and grip. That first race where you finally stop slamming into walls and actually overtake someone? Yeah, that’s the moment you’re hooked. Just don’t expect the AI to go easy on you.
