Splitz Game

Splitz on Game Boy is one of those weird little puzzle-action hybrids that somehow just works. You start off thinking it's just another block-pusher, but then enemies show up, and suddenly you're frantically splitting the screen into sections to trap them while solving color-matching puzzles. The chunky pixel art and bleepy soundtrack nail that classic Game Boy vibe—like someone distilled 1993 into a cartridge.
First few levels ease you in, but by world 3 you'll be muttering "wait, how does this mechanic work again?" as some new twist gets thrown at you. Pro tip: the samurai enemies are way faster than they look. I may have lost a couple lives underestimating them before figuring out you need to cut them off at angles.
It's got that perfect balance of "just one more try" frustration and "aha!" moments when a solution clicks. Definitely one of the more inventive games in my Game Boy collection.
