Ever played one of those weird Christian NES games that somehow slipped past the usual sword-and-sorcery stuff? Spiritual Warfare is basically Zelda if Link traded his green tunic for a Bible. You wander around as this guy named Christian (subtle, right?), chucking "fruit of the Spirit" at demons like some holy grenadier.
At first it feels janky—your character moves like he’s stuck in molasses, and the enemies are either generic monsters or… guys in suits? But there’s something oddly charming about converting NPCs by pelting them with scripture verses. The final boss is literally Satan, which, hey, points for commitment to the theme.
It’s not gonna dethrone A Link to the Past, but as far as obscure religious RPGs go, this one’s got more personality than most.
