About Rise Of The Robots (japan)
Rise of the Robots came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was one of those games that got a lot of attention before release, partly for its detailed graphics, but it arrived during a crowded time on the SNES when many other fighting and action titles were competing for players' time.
You control a cyborg named ECO35-2, moving from one screen to the next to battle a series of enemy robots. Your main goal is to defeat each opponent in one-on-one combat to progress. The game emphasized pre-rendered character sprites and a small set of special moves, but the action often felt slow and the enemy artificial intelligence did not adapt as dynamically as some previews suggested. Fights can be unforgiving, with limited continues making it a tough game to finish. Playing it feels like a repetitive test of patience rather than a fluid fighting experience.
