Long Game

Ever fire up an old Genesis and just feel that chunky D-pad under your thumb? "Long" nails that vibe—it’s one of those platformers where the jumps are just slightly too floaty at first, but after a couple levels, you’re bouncing off enemies like a pro. The pixel art’s got that warm, slightly blurry CRT look, and the music? Pure 16-bit cheese in the best way.
First level throws you right into it—no tutorial, just a little dude running past these weird, grinning goblin things. You’ll miss a jump into a pit once or twice (because of course the hitboxes are janky), but then it clicks. There’s a secret warp if you duck behind the third waterfall, which I only found because I got frustrated and mashed buttons. Classic Genesis energy.
It’s not gonna dethrone Sonic, but for a deep-cut platformer, it’s got charm. Just don’t blame me when you start humming the stage 2 theme at work.
