Okay, so The Last Ninja on NES looks cool at first glance—isometric ninja action, sword fights, some light platforming—but man, those controls take some getting used to. You’ll be jumping at weird angles, swinging your sword in directions that don’t quite match the buttons, and probably falling into water a few times before it clicks.
Once you adjust, though, there’s something weirdly satisfying about it. The levels are packed with little secrets, and the puzzles aren’t just "find a key" stuff—you’ll actually have to think about how to use your ninja tools. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.
It’s one of those games where you either bounce off hard or end up weirdly obsessed with its janky charm.
