Human Grand Prix - New Generation is one of those N64 racers that actually holds up surprisingly well. The physics feel weighty—not quite sim-level, but you can tell they put effort into making the cars handle differently. First race in, you’re slamming into walls because you underestimated how much that rain actually affects traction (yeah, weather matters here).
Customization’s decent—not Forza levels, but tweaking gear ratios or downforce changes how the car behaves in a way you’ll notice by lap two. Graphics were impressive for the time, and some tracks still look kinda cool in that blocky, late-90s way. Just don’t expect Daytona USA smoothness.
It’s got that old-school arcade-meets-sim vibe where messing up a turn costs you, but you’re still powersliding like an idiot half the time. Works better with an N64 controller’s weird stick, honestly.
