Fighting Force 64 is one of those N64 beat 'em ups that feels like a chaotic brawl from the first minute. You pick one of four characters—I always went with Hawk because his punches just felt heavier—and then you’re immediately smashing crates, grabbing pipes, and throwing goons into walls. The 3D environments are clunky by today’s standards, but back then, running around a destructible city block felt wild.
What makes it fun is how over-the-top the combat gets. You can suplex enemies, swing sledgehammers, even chuck grenades if you’re lucky enough to find one. The co-op mode is where it really shines, though—team up with a friend, and suddenly you’re coordinating who gets the katana while the other distracts the boss. Just don’t expect deep strategy; this is pure, button-mashing mayhem with a side of janky N64 charm.
If you miss the days of arcade-style brawlers where the goal was to wreck everything in sight, this one’s a solid time capsule.
