Dual Heroes on N64 is one of those early 3D fighters that somehow feels both janky and weirdly charming. You pick from a roster of fighters—some obvious picks like a ninja or cyborg, others just bizarre (there’s a dude in a diving suit?). The controls take a minute to get used to since the combos aren’t as smooth as, say, Tekken, but once you figure out the timing, pulling off a special move feels oddly satisfying.
The arenas are small and kinda claustrophobic, which means fights get chaotic fast—especially with the weird gravity physics that make jumps feel floaty. It’s not the deepest fighter out there, but there’s something fun about the sheer randomness of it all. Perfect for when you and a friend just want to button-mash for a while.
Also, the announcer yells “Dual Heroes!” way too loud at the start. You’ve been warned.
