Doraemon 3 on the N64 is one of those weird, charming little adventure games that never left Japan—but if you're a fan of the series, it's worth tracking down. You play as Nobita (or Doraemon, depending on the stage), running around a town that’s slowly falling apart thanks to some bizarre disasters. The puzzles are simple but satisfying—like using Doraemon’s gadgets to fix broken bridges or outsmarting bullies with the Bamboo Copter. The graphics are bright and cartoony, exactly how you’d expect a 3D Doraemon game to look, though the controls take a minute to get used to.
It’s not super deep, but there’s something oddly relaxing about wandering the neighborhood, talking to familiar characters, and solving small-scale problems. The dialogue’s all in Japanese, but if you’ve seen the anime, you’ll recognize most of the scenarios anyway. Definitely a niche pick, but it’s got that cozy, low-stakes vibe older licensed games used to nail.
