Defender 2: Stargate is that classic arcade sequel where everything got dialed up—more enemies, more chaos, and way more ways to panic. You're still zipping around in that little ship, blasting aliens and rescuing humans, but now there's this weird teleportation gimmick that throws you into random spots on the map. One second you're fine, the next you're surrounded by mutants. Jarvis and DeMar didn't hold back.
It's brutal, but in that old-school way where you keep coming back just to see if you can last longer than two minutes. The controls take some getting used to—reverse thrusting while mashing the fire button feels like patting your head and rubbing your stomach at first. But once it clicks, there's nothing else like it. Just don't expect anything to do with the later Stargate shows—this came way before all that.
