DecapAttack is one of those weird, wonderful Genesis games that makes you go, "Wait, what?" You play as Chuck D. Head—a mummy who can literally rip his own skull off and punch enemies with it. Yeah, it's that kind of game.

The first level throws you right into the madness: bouncing on mushrooms, dodging flying eyeballs, and figuring out the timing for when to throw your head (which, by the way, feels oddly satisfying). The controls take a second to click, but once they do, you'll be ricocheting your noggin off walls like a pro.

What really sticks with me is the bizarre charm—the way Chuck's body stumbles around blindly when you're controlling just the head, or how Max D. Cap's goons look like rejected Halloween costumes. The music's got that classic Genesis twang, too—equal parts funky and unsettling.

It's not the hardest platformer out there, but some of those later levels get sneaky with their traps. Just wait until you hit the circus zone—clowns should be illegal in video games.
