Daffy Duck Starring as Duck Dodgers on N64 is basically Looney Tunes meets space opera chaos. You play as Daffy—of course—blundering your way through planets while Marvin the Martian tries to wreck everything. The controls feel a little stiff at first (it is an N64 platformer), but once you get used to the jetpack hops and weird alien guns, it’s surprisingly fun. The humor’s pure classic Daffy—expect ridiculous one-liners and animations that somehow make dying funny.
Levels are bright, cartoony, and packed with hidden stuff if you’re willing to backtrack. Some of the puzzles had me stuck longer than I’d like to admit, especially that one with the floating platforms and lava. Worth it just to hear Daffy scream when he falls, though. If you grew up on Saturday morning cartoons, this one’s a nostalgia trip with just enough challenge to keep you from breezing through it.
