About Custom Robo V2 Jap
Custom Robo V2 came out for the Nintendo 64 in 2000, developed by Noise. It was part of that late N64 era where games were experimenting more with 3D spaces and mechanics, though it never left Japan. You play as a kid who gets pulled into the world of Custom Robo, a high-tech battle sport where people control small robots.
You control your Robo from a third-person perspective in small, enclosed arenas. The main goal is to battle other Robos and progress through the tournament to become the champion. Signature mechanics include customizing your robot with different body parts, guns, and bombs you collect, and the combat itself is a fast-paced mix of shooting and close-range dashes. The game has a steady difficulty curve, with later matches requiring specific part combinations to win. Moving your Robo around the arena and timing your shots feels quick and responsive.
