Cult Jump Game

Okay, so Cult Jump is one of those Game Boy platformers that looks simple at first—just a little pixel dude hopping around—but then suddenly you’re sweating over perfectly timed jumps. The controls are tight, which is good because some of those gaps are mean. And the music? Pure chiptune nostalgia, like someone bottled 1995 and turned it into background tracks.
First level’s a breeze, but by stage three, you’ll be replaying sections just to nail the rhythm of moving platforms and those weird floating eyeball enemies. Pro tip: Hold the run button longer than you think you need to. Trust me.
It’s not revolutionary, but it’s the kind of game you keep coming back to when you want something satisfyingly tough without being unfair. That last boss still haunts me, though.
