Charlie Blast’s is one of those weird little N64 puzzle games that somehow sticks with you. You play as this goofy demolition expert—basically, you’re placing bombs to clear obstacles, reroute paths, and unlock exits. Sounds simple, but the levels get devious fast. One wrong move and you’ll box yourself in or blow up the only bridge you needed.
The art style’s got that late-90s charm—bright colors, blocky characters, and explosions that somehow feel satisfying even by today’s standards. At first, I thought it’d be a breeze, but by level 10, I was staring at the screen for minutes just trying to figure out the right sequence. Some of the later puzzles are downright evil, in the best way.
If you like games that make you stop and think (or rage-quit and come back later), this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t blame me when you’re stuck on the same level for an hour.
