BreakThru! on Game Boy is one of those simple-but-tough arcade-style games that somehow makes you keep hitting "retry" even when it drives you nuts. You're basically this little ship (or maybe a block? Honestly, the pixels leave some room for imagination) blasting through maze-like levels, dodging obstacles and taking out targets. The first few screens trick you into thinking it's easy—then suddenly you're wedged between two spinning death traps with no way out.
The chunky sound effects and that classic Game Boy green-on-black hit just right if you're into retro vibes. I lost a good hour to it the first time I played, mostly because level 7 feels impossible until you figure out the timing. It's the kind of game you play in short bursts, muttering "one more try" under your breath.
Definitely a solid pick if you like games that don't hold your hand but don't feel unfair either. Just don't blame me when you realize you've been stuck on the same level for 20 minutes.
