Bomberman GB is the pocket-sized version of the classic bomb-dropping chaos we all love. You’ve got the same frantic maze-running, same explosive traps—just crammed into that tiny Game Boy screen. At first, I thought the monochrome graphics would make it harder to track the action, but honestly, the simplicity works. Less clutter, more focus on dodging your own bombs while trying to box in enemies.
It’s got that classic Bomberman feel—you start in a grid, planting bombs to blast through blocks and take out enemies. The controls are tight, though I still occasionally fumble the timing when trying to drop a bomb and immediately pivot away. And yeah, you’ll probably blow yourself up a few times before getting the hang of it. That’s half the fun.
If you’ve got a buddy with a link cable, the versus mode is where this really shines. Nothing like trapping your friend in a corner with a well-placed explosion. Just don’t expect any fancy power-ups—this is Bomberman stripped down to its explosive essentials.
