About Bomberman 2
Bomberman GB 2 came out for the Game Boy in 1991, developed by Hudson Soft. It was part of that wave of portable games you could play anywhere, a time when puzzle and action titles fit perfectly into short sessions. This one built on the familiar Bomberman formula but gave it a distinct single player adventure, a change from the more common multiplayer focus.
You control Bomberman, navigating through a series of interconnected rooms. Your main goal is to find and defeat the area boss to collect a key, which unlocks the next world. You place bombs to blast through soft blocks, uncovering power ups like increased blast range or the ability to kick bombs. Enemies patrol each screen, and you must clear them all to proceed. The pacing is methodical; you learn enemy patterns and plan your bomb placements carefully. It feels like a tense, thoughtful puzzle where one wrong move can trap you with your own explosion.
