Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker on N64 is basically you stepping into Terry McGinnis’ high-tech boots as the new Batman. Right off the bat (pun intended), you’re gliding through Neo-Gotham’s neon-lit rooftops, punching thugs with those slick armored gauntlets. The Joker’s back, somehow, and he’s just as unhinged as ever—complete with that creepy laugh.
Combat’s straightforward but satisfying, mixing punches, throws, and gadgets. The platforming bits can be a little janky—this is an N64 game—but there’s something weirdly fun about grappling between skyscrapers while dodging drones. If you grew up with the cartoon, the vibe’s spot-on, right down to the voice lines and that synth-heavy soundtrack. Just don’t expect Arkham-level depth.
It’s short, a bit rough around the edges, but totally worth it for the nostalgia hit.
