Man, UFC on Game Boy Color is way more fun than it has any right to be. You pick your fighter—some real bruisers in there—and suddenly you're throwing jabs and kicks on that tiny screen. The controls take a second to click, but once you figure out the timing for combos, you can really mess someone up.
Matches feel scrappy in the best way, like you're actually trading blows instead of just button mashing. The roster's small but each fighter handles differently—some are slow powerhouses, others are quick but weak. I kept going back to the wrestler types because those suplexes just feel brutal when they land.
It's got that classic Game Boy charm where everything's a little rough around the edges, but that somehow makes the fights more intense. You'll be leaning into turns trying to dodge that last-second kick before the bell. Definitely one of those games that proves fighting titles can work on handhelds.
