Time Dominator 1st is one of those Genesis games that doesn’t get enough love. Yeah, the graphics are basic even for its time, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about bouncing between different eras—one minute you’re dodging cavemen throwing bones, the next you’re platforming through a neon-lit future city. The controls take a second to click, but once they do, the movement feels surprisingly tight.

What really hooked me was the enemy variety. Some of these designs are just bizarre in the best way—like a floating clockwork knight that shoots gears at you. And the music? Pure 16-bit cheese, but in that nostalgic way where you catch yourself humming it hours later. Not gonna lie, the later levels get brutal, but in that "one more try" kind of way. If you’ve got a soft spot for forgotten retro platformers, this one’s worth dusting off.
