About Tetris 2
Tetris 2 came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993, published by Nintendo. It was a later release for the NES, arriving when many players were already moving to the 16-bit consoles, but it offered a fresh take on a familiar formula for those still enjoying their 8-bit systems.
You control the falling blocks, trying to clear the screen by matching three or more blocks of the same color in a row. The main objective is to remove all the flashing blocks from each stage before the screen fills up. Signature mechanics include the new requirement to clear specific, marked blocks rather than just completing lines, and the addition of a magic wand that can change block colors to help set up matches. The game introduces a slower, more deliberate pace compared to the original Tetris, with a puzzle-like focus that increases in difficulty as you progress.
