Remember that old Disney cartoon with Baloo the bear flying a plane? Yeah, TaleSpin on Genesis takes that weirdly charming concept and turns it into a side-scrolling shooter that somehow works. You're basically piloting Baloo's cargo plane through jungles, dodging enemy planes and dropping bombs on pirate bases—because of course there are sky pirates.
It's got that classic Capcom Disney magic—bright colors, smooth controls, and just enough challenge to keep you retrying levels. The first stage throws you right into the action with floating islands and enemy biplanes swarming you. Took me a few crashes to realize you can actually loop-the-loop to shake pursuers, which feels ridiculous in the best way.
Fun fact: The whole game feels like someone watched The Jungle Book and thought "but what if they had WWI-era dogfights?" It shouldn't make sense, but here we are.
