So Sword of Hope is this old-school Game Boy RPG where you play as Prince Theo—again—because apparently, someone lost the legendary sword a second time. Classic royal family move, right? You wander through first-person dungeons, bumping into monsters and solving little puzzles to get keys or hidden items. Combat’s turn-based, and you’ve got spells, but don’t expect anything flashy—this is still the Game Boy, so it’s all menus and imagination.
It’s got that weirdly specific early RPG vibe where you’ll poke at every wall because there’s probably a secret door there, and half your time is spent guessing what the heck an item even does. The music’s surprisingly moody for a tiny cartridge, though. If you’re into slow, methodical dungeon crawlers where you scribble notes on actual paper, this one’s weirdly satisfying.
