Super Kick Off on the Genesis is one of those old-school soccer games that feels way faster and more arcade-y than FIFA. The controls are simple—pass, shoot, tackle—but the ball physics are weirdly satisfying when you boot it halfway across the pitch. Graphics are basic, sure, but the players have this exaggerated slide when they turn, which makes dribbling feel oddly dramatic.
First time I played, I kept overshooting passes because the power meter is way more sensitive than it looks. And the AI? Brutal. They’ll steal the ball if you hesitate for half a second. Still, once you get the timing down, pulling off a last-minute goal feels awesome. Definitely a relic of its time, but in a good way.
