You're piloting this bright pink submarine called Sqoon, and honestly, it's as weird as it sounds—in the best way. The goal? Blast aliens, rescue drowning humans, and try not to run out of fuel (which happens fast). You’ve got missiles for taking out enemies and these ice bombs that freeze facilities to free survivors. But here’s the catch: your sub can only carry nine people at a time, so you’re constantly darting back to drop them off on islands—which, by the way, refuel you and sometimes spit out power-ups.
The fuel timer is brutal, though. Every 60 seconds, you’re scrambling to find more, or you lose a life. It’s chaotic, a little janky, but weirdly addictive once you get the rhythm down. Definitely one of those NES games that feels like it’s actively fighting you, but in a fun way.
