Man, this Sega Genesis Spider-Man game is pure 90s comic book chaos in the best way. You start off just swinging between these chunky pixel buildings, and the physics feel weirdly good for a 16-bit game—like, you actually have to time your web shots or you'll faceplant into the sidewalk.

Doc Ock's all over the place causing trouble, and the Green Goblin keeps popping up to chuck pumpkin bombs at you mid-swing. The controls take a minute to get used to (why is the punch button also the jump button?), but once it clicks, you're bouncing off walls and web-zipping like a pro.

Some of those platforming sections are brutal though—I still have nightmares about the elevator shaft level. The sprite animations are surprisingly smooth for the era, especially when Spidey does his little flip after a swing. It's janky in that classic Genesis way, but man does it nail the feeling of being Spider-Man better than it had any right to.
