Speedball 2 is basically cyberpunk rugby with zero rules—just pure, glorious chaos. You pick a team (Brutal Deluxe is the default, but I always go for the underdogs), and then it's all about slamming the metal ball into the opponent's goal while punching anyone dumb enough to get in your way. The first time I played, I accidentally KO'd three of my own guys trying to tackle someone. Whoops.
The controls are simple—pass, shoot, punch—but matches get wild fast. The arena has these bounce pads and traps, and sometimes the ball electrifies mid-game. There's something satisfying about hearing that crunchy sound effect when you knock someone out cold. And if you're feeling mean, you can upgrade your team between matches with better armor or... uh, spiked gloves.
Multiplayer’s where it really shines, though. Nothing beats body-checking your friend into the wall right before they score. Just don’t blame me when the trash talk starts.
