Okay, so Soreyuke! Speedy Gonzales is one of those Game Boy platformers that somehow makes running into walls at full speed weirdly fun. You play as Speedy (duh), zipping through these bright, kinda chaotic levels where everything wants to stop you—cats, weird cacti, those little cheese-stealing mice from the cartoons. The controls take a second to get used to because Speedy moves, like, "whoa, slow down—oh right, he doesn’t" fast.
The music’s got that bouncy, slightly off-key Game Boy charm, and the levels are short but packed with little secrets. Found out the hard way that some platforms vanish if you hesitate too long. Classic Speedy energy—no time to think, just go. It’s not the deepest game, but it nails that "gotta go fast" vibe better than most mascot platformers from the era. Just don’t blame me when you yeet yourself into a pit because you misjudged a jump.
