Okay, so Smurfs: Nightmare on the Game Boy Color is way more fun than I expected. You start off in Smurf Village—everything’s bright and cartoony, just like the show—but then things get weird when the Smurfs start having these shared nightmares. Suddenly, you’re hopping between dream worlds, dodging weird enemies and solving little puzzles to wake everyone up.
Each Smurf plays differently, which is cool. Brainy can read signs to unlock paths, Hefty can smash stuff, and Clumsy… well, he trips a lot, but sometimes that actually helps? The levels are short but packed with little secrets, and yeah, you’ll definitely run into Gargamel a few times. The music’s got that classic GBC chiptune charm, too.
It’s not super hard, but there’s enough variety to keep it interesting—especially if you grew up with the little blue guys. Definitely a solid pick if you’re into retro platformers with a puzzle twist.
