Shi No Meikyuu – Labyrinth Of Death (seganet) Game

Ever get lost in a dungeon and actually enjoy it? That's Shi No Meikyuu for you—this Sega Genesis/Master System maze crawler doesn't hold your hand. You start in some creepy stone corridor with zero explanation, just a sword and the creeping sense something's watching you from the shadows.
The first time I played, I walked straight into a spike trap. Classic. The whole thing's packed with those "oh crap" moments—false floors, arrow traps that come out of nowhere, and monsters that look like they escaped from a Castlevania reject pile. Combat's simple but brutal; miss a swing, and some bat-thing will take half your health.
What got me hooked was the atmosphere. The music's all muffled echoes and distant drips, like you're really deep underground. And the further you go, the weirder it gets—suddenly there's teleporters, invisible paths, rooms that loop back on themselves. Took me three tries just to find the first boss.
If you like old-school games that punish you for existing, this one's a weird little time capsule. Just bring patience (and maybe a map sketched on notebook paper).
