If you grew up watching Scooby-Doo reruns like I did, this GBC game is pure nostalgia. You start off in the Mystery Machine with the whole gang, rolling up to some haunted mansion—classic setup. The pixel art actually nails the cartoon’s vibe, especially Shaggy’s weirdly bouncy run animation.
Gameplay’s a mix of light puzzles and exploration. You switch between characters to use their skills: Velma examines clues, Fred sets traps (badly), and Scooby… mostly eats snacks and panics. The writing’s cheesy in that perfect 90s way—every villain does the whole "meddling kids" speech when you catch them. It’s short and kinda easy, but honestly? That just makes it feel more like playing through an episode of the show.
Pro tip: Save your Scooby Snacks. You’ll need them for the later chase sequences when Shaggy inevitably chickens out.
