Man, Rocket Power: Zero Gravity Zone on GBA takes me back. You start off picking your character—I always went with Otto because his board felt just a tiny bit faster—and then you're immediately thrown into these wild, gravity-defying courses. Half the fun is figuring out how to chain tricks together when the ground suddenly stops existing.
The controls take a minute to get used to, especially when you hit those zero-G sections where everything floats. First time I played, I faceplanted into a wall trying to do a simple ollie, but once it clicks, pulling off combos feels surprisingly smooth for a GBA game. The levels mix skateparks, waves, and snow ramps with that same over-the-top energy from the show.
It’s not perfect—some of the later challenges get brutally hard—but the vibe is spot-on. The music’s got that early 2000s punk-lite sound, and the announcer yells stuff like "Tubular!" when you land a big trick. If you grew up watching Rocket Power, this is basically a time capsule in cartridge form.
