If you grew up watching Avatar: The Last Airbender and still have a Game Boy Advance lying around, this one’s a fun little throwback. You play as Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph—each with their own bending moves—as they trek across the Earth Kingdom fighting Fire Nation soldiers and solving some basic but satisfying puzzles.
The pixel art actually does a decent job capturing the show’s style, and switching between characters keeps things from getting too repetitive. Toph’s earthbending feels especially chunky in a good way, though the combat’s pretty simple—button-mashing works more often than it should. Still, there’s something weirdly charming about seeing Zuko’s tiny GBA sprite scowling at you.
It’s not the deepest game, but if you’re nostalgic for mid-2000s licensed titles, it’s a solid way to kill an afternoon. Just don’t expect Fire Emblem-level strategy.
